Mild Ssamjang is used as a dipping sauce for vegetables or as a condiment for Galbi, grilled pork and other meat wrapped in Ssam (vegetable wrap). Ssam is ‘vegetable wrap’ in Korean and Jang is ‘sauce or dipping sauce’ in Korean. Put together we have ‘Ssamjang’ which also known as seasoned soybean paste.

1. Have your romaine
2. Put a small amount of rice on the romaine lettuce
3. Place a piece of pork belly onto the lettuce wrap
4. Place any other vegetables such as grilled or raw garlic, grilled or raw onions, peppers, etc. onto the wrap
5. Place a good amount of soybean paste in the wrap
6. Wrap the lettuce up into a ball and enjoy!!
